JoAn Dwyer

Project Director

JoAn, a social worker from Texas, coordinates the work of ODIM along with other volunteers and local staff. JoAn has been living full time in Guatemala since 2001. Prior to her work with ODIM, she was the administrator of Proyecto Salud y Paz for four years. In this position, she helped establish and operate two ongoing medical/dental clinics in Guatemala. For twenty-five years, her work in the United States was dedicated to addressing sexual assault and domestic violence issues. JoAn is an Individual Volunteer in Mission with the United Methodist Church.
