We are thrilled to announce that on May 29th, 2024,
WE ARE CELEBRATING OUR 15TH ANNIVERSARY!
Our journey began in 2005 when a group of compassionate individuals witnessed the aftermath of Hurricane Stan on the serene shores of Lake Atitlán in Guatemala. Moved by the widespread destruction, they decided to join hands and help those in need. This is how the "Organization for the Development of the Indigenous Maya (ODIM)" was born. Initially focused on providing immediate relief efforts, they soon realized that the need for sustainable healthcare solutions in San Juan and San Pablo La Laguna was urgent.
Over the past 15 years, ODIM's mission has grown beyond emergency aid, thanks to the unwavering support of churches, organizations, and remarkable individuals - LIKE YOU!
We have embraced the critical role of preventive healthcare and education in fostering long-term well-being. Through one dental clinic, two medical clinics, and five community programs dedicated to health and education, we have impacted the lives of over 10,000 individuals in our communities.
We couldn't have achieved any of this without you, our beloved supporters. Your trust and support in our mission have been the driving force behind every action, educational program, and medical service we have taken to improve the lives of the Tz'utujil population in our rural communities.
We are deeply grateful for your unwavering commitment and dedication, MALTIOX - THANK YOU!
Here's to another 15 years of impact, growth, and shared accomplishments together!
