Our Mission

To enable access to primary healthcare and preventative health education for the population, with equality, honesty, and confidentiality, that is focused on programs that promote development and empowerment of the communities of San Pablo and San Juan la Laguna.

Our Vision

To be a nationally and internationally recognized leader in healthcare and preventative health education.

Our Story

ODIM was initially formed by a group of foreign residents of Lake Atitlán, who provided humanitarian assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Stan that hit Guatemala in 2005, causing widespread devastation and loss of life. Since then, thanks to the hard work of many volunteers and the support of churches, organizations, and individuals, ODIM has grown to provide primary health care and health education programs in the rural communities around Lake Atitlán.
